Akkeshi Port Festival

The highlight of this festival is the citywide parade in which groups from around town dance down the street to the music of the “Akkeshi Ondo” in order to pray for safety, security, and the development of the fishing industry. Then, at night, the town’s spirits continue to burn hot as it holds a fireworks display.
